February Garden Tips

I've been reading Colorado Month-to-Month Gardening, and they list the to-do's for each month. I'll start with February...have you done these yet? I mark mine in BLUE when they are complete.

PERENNIALS, ANNUALS, BULBS
*Check stored bulbs to make sure they haven't sprouted.
*Order or buy seeds.
*Sow seeds indoors (or plan to buy transplants in May).

TREES AND SHRUBS
*Prune branches that have been injured by ice, snow or wind.
*Thin old, deciduous shrubs before they start to bud or bloom.
*Prune fruit trees late in the month.

ROSES
*Make decisions on which roses to replace.
